Led by Shaykh Dr Ridhwan ibn Saleem, our teachers are all qualified in the traditional manner of Ijaza (license to teach), earned by sitting at the feet of scholars.

We do not want finances to be a barrier to anyone who wants to study Islamic knowlege. Therefore, we leave it up to you to pay whatever you can feel comfortable. The guide fee for this course is £750/year.

Why can't I join this course online?

The Lightstudy course is Face to Face only. We firmly believe that true knowledge is more than just academic interest. As the famous jurist, Imam Malik, said,

"Knowledge is not about knowing huge amounts of information. Knowledge is but a light which God casts into the heart."

We believe it is important to sit in the presence of living teachers who have an unbroken connection through one generation of teacher to the next, all the way back ot the Noble Prophet (upon him be peace and blessings) himself. In the Islamic tradition, sitting with one's teachers is about much more than just receiving dry factual information.
